Grid Connected Turbines
All our grid connected turbines are installed and supplied with our own control boxes, dump loads and SMA inverters.
1kw turbine which is suitable for mobile home / small cottage use. This turbine can also be sold as a DIY kit.

3.6kw turbine which is suitable for the average size home.
6kw turbine which is suitable for the larger home or homes with geothermal heating, small businesses, farms etc. The 6kw is grid connected with 2 SMA Windy Boy 3300 inverters
10kw turbine which is suitable for large farms and businesses with a 3-phase power supply.
1kw turbine with a 3kw water heating element. This is specifically designed to heat water and can also be used in combination with solar heating to have constant hot water. These can also be sold as a DIY kit or sold wholesale to plumbing contractors.

Turbines for charging batteries – Island systems

Photovoltaic (PV) is a very exciting and promising solar technology. PV cells transform sunlight directly into electricity. Island systems are standalone systems and not grid connected and do not need mains power.
Island systems can be as small or as large as required - for example an Island System would be a good option off the coast of Ireland or in a remote location away from mains power.
MICRPOWER can design and manufacture a portable Island System up to 20kw. We can modify any trailer or truck and fit it out with PV, batteries, and a small turbine with a small diesel generator back up for emergency use.

A well designed safe tower or pole is a vital part of any wind turbine installation. The wind force on top of the pole is tremendous and the wrong pole will fail with possible catastrophic results.
All our poles are specially designed for use with wind turbines.
All our inverters are made to order by SMA in Germany.
